ABOUT
Rooted in the universal textile traditions, I have been working with fiber since the age of twelve. Growing up in San Francisco, I was exposed to the flourishing textile communities of Fiber Works and Pacific Basin textile schools. I have my BA in Textiles and MA in Sculpture from San Francisco State University.
The repetitive and mediative processes of knitting, felt making, crocheting, coiling, and hand sewing are my ways of manifesting my artistic voice and defining my artistic language. I am inspired by nature and the human body—organs, birds, nests, and trees—that to me represent the entwined relationships between birth and death.
